About The Class

This two day (16-Hour) training course is dynamic, high intensity, and forces critical thinking and teamwork in the Active Shooter/Active Threat environment. While geared toward Law Enforcement, this is an open enrollment course.

This course is a condensed version of our 3-day TACMED course normally held at the ranch. This class will focus heavily on the medical side of things, and forgo the shooting portion of the longer class, allowing the students to have additional opportunities for repetition and skills retention without worrying about firearms skills development. However, we do cover weapons safety, retention, and considerations when thrust into an active environment where firearms and other devices may play a role.

Students will be exposed to the M.A.R.C.H algorithm and some of its variations. P- M.A.R.C.H.-T will be the focus, as it applies to one's scope of practice, and all of the tenets of TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) under the Active Bystanders Guidelines. Topics covered include care under fire, tourniquet application, wound packing, airway, chest seals, casualty assessment and movement, all utilizing moulage, role players, manikins and additional simulation type training props.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will receive a Co-TECC certificate with both the Co-TECC and Thunder Ranch logos on it.

Thunder Ranch is a registered Co-TECC Educational Provider, and offers both Co-TECC and NAEMT accredited TECC training courses for civilians, LEO, and First Responders.

All equipment will be provided by Thunder Ranch.

All students attending will receive a Thunder Ranch IFAK and RMT  tourniquet ($192.94. Value)
